Designer Tip: Don’t do “Drippy Candles”
Designers on tv seem to “hate” one thing or another whether that’s ceiling fans, a certain color or faux-painting techniques. What is one of our pet peeves at RCI? Lighting with “drippy candles”. This poor chandelier could look so much better without that fake plastic wax dripping down. It looks unnecessarily messy and could be so much more chic and timeless without that detail.
This piece is much more along the lines of something we would select in place of those drippy candle chandeliers—metal in place of those false candles that aren’t fooling anyone keeps the same general shape and traditional feel without feeling silly and outdated.
