At RCI we are firm believers in defining style by our clients and their needs rather than by current trends. We make it a point to cater to people rather than “what’s popular”. As designers we know that metal finishes are often the “jewlery of the space” and each space requires different metals that feel appropriate.
Chrome
Chrome is a great choice for a space that aims to feel sleek and chic. Here this “Family Chic” living room has chrome elements in the lighting and furniture pieces, chrome goes well with one of the current trends of mirrored furniture.

Chrome gives a little extra glitz like in this bathroom below.

Isn’t this the most sparkly toilet paper holder you’ve ever seen? We love the crystal accent!

Chrome can feel very contemporary or modern as in this living room or this bathroom.

Brushed Nickel
Brushed Nickel tends to match well with stainless steel which often makes it a good choice in kitchens. Brushed nickel is often a good choice for a second metal in a mixed-metals look to pick up the silvery tones in stainless steel.

In this kitchen below, mixed metals are seen as brushed nickel and stainless steel finishes are paired with oil rubbed bronze globe pendant lights which balance out the dark cabinetry.

Oil Rubbed Bronze
Oil Rubbed Bronze tends to fit in very well in traditional settings but also fits in well in other styles like the modern kitchen above. It is very flexible design-wise due to it’s coloring which goes well with copper finishes, dark “espresso” browns and black finishes.
Oil rubbed bronze finishes look timeless in this Old World European bathroom.

Oil Rubbed Bronze also feels appropriate in this transitional mixed-metals kitchen. This kitchen has a brushed nickel pot-filler faucet to go with the stainless steel appliances.

Whatever your style, there is an appropriate metal finish for you and RCI can help you achieve your dream home result. What’s your favorite metal finish?
