Designer Tips: Play with Pattern

Whether you are looking to re-design a room from scratch or freshen a few things, here is a “Designer Tip” we love to share. Play with patterns, mix colors and add textures, this will create that “magazine finish” you love.  Are you more traditional? Look at combining plaids or hounds-tooth with large florals and stripes. More modern? How about color blocking with chevron and chainlink ? The possibilities and combinations are endless! Like many things in design, consider adding pattern in groups of 3 or 5. Don’t be afraid to repeat some patterns, just make sure that you use it different ways. Here are a few simple ideas to add pattern into your space…
