Life is a journey. My four years at BGSU are coming to a close and so is my work at RCI Interior Design. It’s been the exclamation point at the end of a sentence too brief and I am forever grateful to Rose Toth for helping me along the way. About a year ago she inherited an assistant that was all nerves and no experience. Listening, watching and doing, I have grown into a more confident designer anxious to pursue my trade. I’ve met so many great people skilled in their craft. I’ve gained experience and a better understanding of life outside of school. I’ve learned that business stops for nothing. But most importantly, Rose has taught me to infuse my work with humanity. Watching Rose find joy in helping people by transforming their spaces to be both beautiful and functional has inspired me. Working at RCI has helped me find a deeper meaning in what I do. In my days with RCI, I not only gained a skilled designer for a boss whom I can look up to and learn from, I’ve gained a friend. I’m so thankful for this experience and the impact RCI has had on my ability and love to design. I hope to one day pay it forward and motivate some unseasoned designer to love design as Rose has me.
Below are some of the projects I had the pleasure of working on and seeing through from start to finish!
