Happy Second Day of Spring! Despite it still feeling like winter outside with temperatures in the 30s and some small flurries, the sun is shining brightly getting us excited for the warmer weather to come. We’ve all been inspired this Spring by various sources and here are some of the pins we’ve seen recently on Pinterest that have really got us in the spirit of Spring!
Rose is inspired by bright colors based on fun florals, namely the Pantone Color of the Year, Radiant Orchid. Orchid is a great color to bring in through small pops like on pillows since they are easy to change out and are often an inexpensive addition.
Another seasonal item to bring in with a fun pop of orchid would be a rug which can really bring a fun feel to an entry or bedroom!
Or if you really feel daring, bring in pieces of furniture with that fun radiant orchid and you can really make a statement and make things feel bright and spunky.
Terra is inspired this season by mixing textures, she recently bought a lamp similar to this that reminds her of a pineapple!
This space feels really spring fresh and shows a nice mix of textures from smooth with the shaped mirrors to rough and organic like the coffee table and coral.
Like the pops of color, another way to bring in more texture is through fun pillows, like this one!
Jessica is inspired right now by brass and gold tones that are making a comeback in jewelry and in home decor finishes. A fun and popular way to bring this into your home is through some of these beautiful sunburst mirrors!
Gold tones can also be brought in through a small piece of furniture like these poufs or the side table below.
Mariah was inspired by her Spring Break trip that she just arrived back from and the beachy blue colors she saw while she was down south enjoying the warm weather! This transformative ombre paint technique reminds her of the beautiful shades in the water.
These beautiful blue tones remind her of the sky which was filled with sunshine rather than snowflakes!
Since Mariah loves DIY projects, her trip has her excited to try something like this to bring some of that beachy-nautical charm home.
What is inspiring you this season? Have you fallen in love with one of the Pantone colors for the 2014 Spring season?
